Recipe#10: Malunggay Dynamite






I love watching TV that involves cooking. So oftentimes I watch the show of Jennylyn Mercado w/c is Sarap TV w/family. One time, she cooked the Dynamite Recipe, she is advertising for the CDO ulam Burger mix. So I tried it, I loved it. So I made my own version. I add malunggay to make it more nutritious.

Ingredients:
1 CDO Ulam Burger Beef Mix
1 large carrot, grated
1 cup grated cheese
Malunggay leaves, thinly chopped
5 cloves of Garlic, crushed
1 large onions, chopped
10-15 pcs. Long green peppers (pansigang)
2 cups bread crumbs
2 eggs
1 cup flour or breading mix
Cooking oil
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Using a knife cut the one side of the long green peppers and use a spoon to remove the beans. Wash it and set aside
  2. Mix the beef, garlic, onion, malunggay, carrots, cheese, bread crumbs, salt and pepper.
  3. Stuff the green pepper with the mixture.
  4. Dip in flour, egg and bread crumbs.
  5. Deep fried and serve.

Recipe#9: Malunggay Burger




Because I love to eat burger, I thought of adding malunggay in the ingredients of the burger. Also, your kids can eat it without knowing that it is a vegetable. 
Ingredients:

Bread Bun
Mayonnaise or mustard (opt.)
Fresh Tomatoes, sliced
Catsup
Cheese (opt.)
lettuce (opt.)

Malunggay nuggets as burger patty (see Recipe#1)

Instructions:

1.)  Slice the bread in the middle.
2.) Put the Malunggay Nuggets, Sliced Fresh Tomatoes, Mayonnaise and Catsup.
3.) You can add cheese, lettuce and mustard if you want
4.) Heat in Oven or Pan or as is and Serve.

Recipe#8: Ensaladang Tofu



Tofu is made soy beans w/c is very nutricious, affordable, and easy to cook. Mostly, we only fried it and dip in soysauce. This time, I want to show you another alternative way of cooking it that is not just taste yummy but also looks yummy.
Ingredients:
5 pcs. Tofu, cut
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 pack Chicken breading
Bread crumbs
Egg, beaten
5 pcs. Fresh tomatoes, sliced
2 cans hot sardines
Vinegar for dressing
Salt and pepper (for vinegar)
Cooking oil

Cooking Instructions:

1.) Dip tofu in soysauce, then egg, then chicken breading, then bread crumbs, set aside
2.) In a pan, deep fry the tofu until golden brown.
3.) Put tofu in a plate with kitchen towel to remove extra oil.
4.) Cut tofu into cubes and place in a bowl or plate, set aside
5.) Remove the bones and sauce of sardines, put the excess egg, chicken breading, and bread crumbs.
6.) Saute sardines until crunchy or golden brown
7.) In a bowl, mix the tofu, cooked sardines, and top w/ sliced tomato.
8.) Put desired vinegar for dressing and serve.


Tip: pair it with rice or even an appetizer.

Recipe#7: Pinakbet with Tofu





Ingredients:

5 pcs. Tofu, fried
1 can Hot Sardines, remove the bones and chop
1 Ampalaya (bitter melons), sliced
2 eggplants, sliced
3-5 pcs. Okra, cut in two
3 pcs. Sitaw (string beans), cut into 2"
1/4 of kalabasa (squash), remove the skin, sliced thinly
1 garlic, chopped
2 onions, chopped
2 tomatoes, sliced
4 tbps. bagoong (opt.)
3 tbps. Cooking oil
1 1/2 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

Cooking Instructions:

1.) In a cooking pan, heat 
2.) On the same pan, saute garlic, onion sardines and tomatoes.
3.) Add in all the vegetables, water, and seasonings.
4.) Put the fried tofu then serve.
